Trump supporters are so devoted to him that they’ll defend anything he does.

What is the breaking point that destroys the cult?

So I researched cults to find out how every other cult in history ended.

He called for the federal takeover of the elections.

Federal agents killed people in the streets for all of us to see.

For Trump supporters? They either defended it or they pretended they didn’t see it.

When does it all come crashing down?

If you want to understand how this ends, you need to understand how every cult before it ended.

Here are the 4 ways cults die:

1. The leader falls. In 1955, a preacher named Jim Jones started a small church in Indiana. He told his congregation he could heal the sick, predict the future, and that he alone had the truth everyone else was hiding. Over 20 years, he built one of the most devoted followings in American history. By the mid-1970s, the walls were closing in. Abuse allegations, former members going public, government officials asking questions. So Jim Jones told his followers that the government was trying to destroy them because they were getting too powerful. The only way to survive was to leave America completely. And they believed him. Because he spent 20 years convincing them that he was the only one telling the truth. He moved 909 followers into the jungles of Guyana. In November 18, 1978, a U.S. congressman named Leo Ryan flew down to investigate the situation. Jim Jones had murdered Leo on the airstrip. That same night, he ordered his entire congregation to drink cyanide laced fruit punch. Parents gave it to their children first, then drank it themselves. Every single 909 of them died within every hour. The followers didn’t leave. Jim Jones committed suicide on the same day after he killed Leo Ryan, he took them all with him. Psychologists call this catastrophic cult collapse. This happens when a leader feels cornered no way out. The more cornered Trump gets, the indictments, the courts, the walls closing in. The more he starts to look like a man with nothing left to lose.

2. The inner circle starts talking. Facts don’t break cults. Betrayal does. Not CNN, not a a court ruling, not a journalist with receipts. Someone from inside the tribe. Because cult members reject anything from the outside group automatically. It’s part of the conspiracy against them. When someone from the inner circle starts talking, that’s different. You can’t explain someone who was in the room. Trump’s own chief of staff called him the most dangerous person in American history. His secretary of defense said he’d use the military against American citizens if he could. His chairman of the joint chiefs called him a fascist to the core. More than a dozen former senior staffers signed a public letter saying he was unfit for office. Not Democrats, not journalists, but the people Donald Trump hired. People who ran his government. People who were in the room. Did it break the cult before the election? No. But here’s what cult researchers know. The inner circle talking isn’t a single event. It’s a slow erosion. Every person who speaks up makes it slightly safer for the next person to speak up. And the list keeps growing. You can dismiss one outsider. It gets harder when the people speaking up are part of the cult. The inside circle.

3. Promises never come true. Every cult leader makes promises they can’t keep. In 1954, a woman named Dorothy Martin told her followers that a U.F.O. was coming on December 21st to rescue them before the world flooded. Some sold their homes, others quit their jobs. They gave up everything to be ready for the event. December 21st came…nothing happened. No flood, no U.F.O. Just silence. Psychologist Leon Festinger was watching from the inside of the group. He expected to walk away. Instead, the most committed members became more devoted. They called newspapers, preached harder, recruited strangers off the street. Festinger called this cognitive dissonance. Here’s the part that matters: The members who gave up the least walked away when the prophecy failed. The ones who gave up everything doubled down forever. Because admitting that you were wrong is painful. But admitting that you destroyed your life for a lie is unsurvivable. Trump promised winning. So much winning, his supporters would get tired of winning. Tariffs hitting their wallets? Fake news. Medicaid cuts hitting their families? That’s a liberal hoax. People losing everything? Don’t believe what your eyes see. That’s not winning. The members who sacrificed the least will leave first. And reality is very patient.

4. The community fractures. The last thing holding most cults together isn’t the leader, it’s each other. The group chats, the rallies, the shared enemy. The feeling of belonging. For a lot of Trump followers, it’s the only community they’ve ever had. In the 1970s, psychologist Henri Tajfel took strangers and randomly split them into two groups. They had nothing in common, no history, no rivalry. Within minutes, they were treating their own groups like family members and the other group like the enemy. He called it “social identity theory.” People don’t just join groups, they’ve become the group. The group becomes the answer to the question. “Who am I?” This means leaving isn’t a decision, it’s a loss of identity completely. But here’s what Henri Tajfel also found. Groups fracture when the loyalty test becomes impossible to pass. When members start getting attacked by their own tribe. When the true believers start getting called traitors. When the group turns on itself instead of the outside enemy. That’s already happening inside MAGA. That’s when people quietly slip out the back. Not publicly, they just disappear. Cults don’t die because people get smarter, they die because the structure holding them together stops working. The leader can’t protect them anymore, and the promises stop coming true. The inner circle started talking, and the community started eating itself. Some of these people know something is wrong. They see it. They just can’t say it out loud, because admitting that you were wrong means losing everything they have. But here’s what history teaches us. The longer the leader holds on, the more desperate he becomes. And the more desperate he becomes, the more he asks of his followers. More loyalty, more sacrifice, more willingness to look the other way. Eventually, the cost becomes too high, even the most devoted believer. Every cult in history has ended. Every single of them. This one will end, too.

But here’s the question I wanna ask you.

In June 17, 1930, President Herbert Hoover signed the Smoot-Hawley Tariff Act and Congress passed that bill. People were told that it would protect America from foreign competition and save jobs. The same line we hear today. The actual result was the Great Depression, the worst economic catastrophe in our history. Not only did tariffs weaken the economy, but they intensified financial crisis and doubled down on more trade wars. However, they thought they could handle it on their own and be nothing without allies. Same way we feel like we don’t use instructions on how to build a chair.

In the 1932 presidential election, 57% of Americans voted for Franklin D. Roosevelt to oppose Hoover because he was responsible for that crisis. Also demanding him to begone.

When FDR got into office, he implemented the “New Deal,” a series of economic, social, and political reforms in response to the Great Depression in the United States. It promoted anti-protectionism and called for the repeal of that disastrous tariff. It was not fully repealed, but its high protectionist rates were systematically dismantled following the 1934 Reciprocal Trade Agreements Act (RTAA). He also stabilized the banking system, created jobs through public works projects, and established lasting social safety nets like Social Security.

Now in the title, many people say free trade is way better than tariffs for overall economic prosperity, efficiency, and lower consumer prices. Let me tell you 3 three things:

• Free trade promotes lower consumer prices and economic growth through competitive advantages. Tariffs on the other hand, act as a “tax” domestic consumers, raise the cost of goods, and often fail to protect manufacturing jobs for a long time. For example, when someone says, “Let’s impose tariffs on foreign imports. It looks like they’re doing the patriotic thing by protecting products and jobs.” Well, the consequences they seem not to realize are that they often encourage inefficiency in protected business and effectively acting as a tax on consumers. Therefore, tariffs lead to higher costs, increasing consumer good prices, often lead to trade wars against our trading partners, and weaken the economy.

• Protectionism protect jobs and domestic industries, but a short period of time. That’s because when increasing the cost of imported goods (tariffs) or limiting their quantity (quotas), which allows domestic companies to maintain higher employment levels by avoiding direct competition with cheaper foreign alternatives. Tariffs can sometimes be beneficial to protecting domestic industries, but just doesn’t last very long.

• The last thing to be said is Free Trade Agreements (FTAs). What are FTAs? They’re treaties between two or more countries designed to reduce or eliminate barriers to trade—such as tariffs, quotas, and regulations—making it cheaper and easier to exchange goods and services. These agreements aim to boost economic growth, increase foreign investment, and lower prices for consumers.

As you can see, one of the types of economic policies that we use are beneficial to keep the economy stable and keep it in perfect condition. One represents promoting economic growth and efficiency by removing barriers to international trade. The other is restricting imports from other countries. So we always must use and stick to one of the economic policies that make your business successful and in good shape.

In 1980, Ronald Reagan originally used the slogan “Let’s make America great again”. At the time, the United States was suffering from a worsening economy at home marked by stagflation. It was also used to abolish Jimmy Carter’s terrible and toxic economy, and inflation was going up.

In 2016, that slogan turned into a movement by Donald Trump. But the cons outweigh the pros. Because they feed other people’s false sense of superiority and make them feel safe and make them feel emboldened in their -isms and -phobias.

In fact, there’s a lot of conspiracies of how you should be scared and hate black and hispanics. MAGA grifters who pander to the poorly educated feed on the impossibles’ victimness.

If you want to know the difference between the impossibles and the grifters, read this article and you’ll see what I mean.

MAGA has been reaching a breaking point and has been imploding from the inside in a few months or so. Even worse now.

Such as the economy, the Epstein files, and Trump doing what MAGA thought would hurt the people they hate, they’re now getting affected by that. They’re disassembling, they’re quietly leaving the cult. The only one remains is the grifter. They’re told if they tell the truth, they’ll lose a bunch of followers, and they’ll get a real job MAGA grifters are scared to get.

MAGA influencers claim they love Ronald Reagan, but don’t follow the things that the Reagan administration represented. Here are the things Ronald Reagan would be disappointed in today’s Republican Party:

• Reagan was very strong on free trade and free markets. Trump is imposing tariffs that weaken the economy and they would immediately repeat the worst state from the Great Depression in the 1930s.

• Reagan signed the 1986 Immigration Reform and Control Act that granted amnesty for 3 million undocumented immigrations. Trump is like “Deport everyone. No exceptions".”

• Reagan’s hallmark was unwavering optimism about America’s future. He rejected “doom and gloom,” promoted American exceptionalism, and believed in the power of ideas, free enterprise, and individual liberty to renew the nation. Trump leans into cultural grievance, “darkness,” and narratives of national decline or elite betrayal.

• Reagan was the Cold Warrior who called the Soviet Union an “evil empire”, built up military and fought against communism. He valued strong alliances (NATO) and moral clarity in foreign affairs. Trump shows show greater reluctance for international engagement (e.g., skepticism toward aid to Ukraine), warmer rhetoric toward leaders like Vladimir Putin, or “America First” isolationism that prioritizes withdrawal over projecting strength.

• Reagan famously said: “We don’t have deficits because people are taxed too little. We have deficits because big government spends too much.” He cut taxes dramatically but also presided over deficits (partly due to military buildup and political realities), and he pushed for spending restraint. In Trump’s party, it has largely abandoned serious efforts at entitlement reform or deficit reduction, even in periods of unified control.

• Reagan was known for charm, humor, bipartisanship when possible (he worked with Democrats like Tip O’Neill), and personal decency. He avoided personal attacks as the norm and built a broad coalition. Trump embraces of combative populism, loyalty tests, and tolerance for inflammatory rhetoric or conspiracy-adjacent claims would clash with Reagan’s “nice conservative” persona and his belief in ideas over personality cults.

The GOP’s moral collapse

It’s now April 4, 2026, the party has been losing elections every single day since the Democratic blowout in New York, Virginia, and New Jersey. It was a landslide. Trump complained about how he’s going to lose the midterms. Here’s this video to answer your question:

In 10 or 20 years, you’ll see not a single person in the world that will admit they supported Donald Trump. Nice try. The internet is forever and we’ll never forget your names.

Traditional Republicans hope for a correction if Trump’s second term ends with economic or foreign policy struggles (e.g., midterms losses in 2026 could accelerate soul-searching). Some anti-MAGA voices already call 2028 the “second chance” to fight for Reaganite principles. But history shows parties rarely fully “go back”—they evolve hybrids (e.g., post-Reagan GOP kept tax cuts but adapted on other fronts).

I do hope 2028 will be the day after Trump and the entire regime is removed, there’d better be a sane Republican that will restore the Reaganite Faction of the Republican Party. Unlike the 2024 primary, Nikki Haley is the only candidate that represented a return to the classic Republican values. I was half disappointed she lost, and half disappointed she endorsed Trump.

I believe people are still Republican, former Republican (sometimes politically homeless), conservative Independent, conservative Democrat, they should continue holding onto the label, in order to save the party from the cult and populism.

Although there are still young or adult Reagan Republicans, like me, we won’t give up what we believe. We’ll punch Trumpism in the mouth. We’ll restore our principles and save conservatism. We’ll bring back America that seeks democracy, free markets, a strong national defense, and the rule of law.

In June 16, 2015, Donald Trump announced his candidacy for president. His campaign aligned hardcore, right-wing populism, but untethered to any sort of principles or policies, it’s a lot more tethered to a cult of personality and a cultural war. That to me seems pretty thin gruel.

What true Republicans and conservatives believe in

• True conservatives favor free markets. Trump would impose sweeping tariffs on imports, putting his thumb on capitalism’s scale.

• Conservatives are for freedom. Trump would deploy federal troops to crush our rights to protest.

• Conservatives support free speech rights and the freedom of the press. Trump routinely harasses reporters. During his presidency, his attorney general refused to rule out prosecuting journalists who published leaked stories.

• Conservatives believe in the balance of power that keeps each branch of government honest. Trump regularly attacks the courts and the Congress and wants to control them.

• Conservatives believe in limited government. Trump wants to expand the government’s reach in dozens of ways.

• Conservatives believe in conservation (naturally). We true conservatives respect tradition and institutions. Trump has no respect for the wisdom of his forebears or the traditions that hold society together.

Conservatives believe in the sanctity of freedom and democracy. We are fervently anti-authoritarian. Trump and his followers long for a dictatorship.

Donald Trump is not a conservative Republican. He’s a populist authoritarian narcissist. He’s a lifelong NYC Democrat who said that if he was to run, he’d run as a Republican because they’re too dumb and stupid. That interview got taken down. All of the sudden nobody can find it anymore, but we all remember that.

We all remember that.

Is the party too far gone or can we pull it back?

Well, I don’t know, one thing I do know for sure is that right now it’s 2026, we’ve seen the MAGA cult reaching a breaking point, they’re turning on Trump for the promises he’s broken during his campaign. They’ve had enough with the gaslighting and goalpost moving.

Other signs that are able for the party to be pulled back, not completely, is that after seeing what MAGA cult is going, they switched back to saying, “I’ve never been MAGA, been a Republican”. I know not all Republicans are MAGA, but Republicans who used to be MAGA are pretending they never supported all of this, and we’ll never forget your names.

The more we keep receipts on those people, the more it’s said and done, because they’re gonna try and switch sides. They’ll tell us that they were never on that side, but as long as we point them out, they’ll never try and deny anything.

Example?

Iraq and Afghanistan. Those two wars that a lot of people supported. If you ask people now about, they’ll say, “Oh I never supported those two wars.” But they did support them at one point, they just don’t like to say it now.

And I’ll believe in one year, it’s still that party. If you fast forward ten years, you’ll see not a single person in the world that will ever admit they supported Donald Trump.

Republican presidents that really know history, principle, and policy

Abraham Lincoln, who is considered the founder of today’s GOP, (and is the president Trump says he admires most) waged war with the American South to eradicate slavery (lending liberty to 4 million slaves) but also to preserve and protect our democracy from Confederate oligarchs who would extend the rule of the elites to the North. Lincoln enlisted the middle class and the wealthy in the effort, by instituting a temporary income tax. As a leader who believed in opportunity for all, Lincoln created land grant public colleges. As a champion of the private sector, he opened federal lands to private citizens, granting 160 acres to farmers (and would-be farmers) who settled in the West.

Theodore Roosevelt famously conserved our natural heritage by creating national parks. Unlike Trump, who favors Big Business over all, Teddy was the “trust buster” who attacked and broke up monopolies that crippled competition. It was TR who created agencies to inspect food and drugs (especially meat) in order to preserve the health of the American people. He also expanded the economy with the first policies to promote irrigation and hydroelectricity.

Dwight Eisenhower, like Roosevelt, sought to protect (and conserve) the well-being of the nation by expanding Social Security. When the Soviets shocked the world by launching the satellite Sputnik, Eisenhower enlisted the country’s greatest scientific institutions in the effort to match and exceed this accomplishment. Ike promoted economic expansion with the development of the interstate highway system.

Richard Nixon, in the spirit of Roosevelt, famously created the Environmental Protection Agency in order to conserve the land, air and water. He went to China to create the ties that led to massive free trade relations. In contrast with Trump’s isolationism, Nixon worked with Leonid Brezhnev to reduce the threat of nuclear war with the Anti-Ballistic Missile Treaty and the Strategic Arms Limitation Treaty.

Ronald Reagan, who was one of the most conservative presidents in US history, saved Social Security from bankruptcy. Never a bully, he worked amicably (and successfully) with Democratic Speaker of the House Thomas ‘Tip’ O’Neil. And though he worked to reduce regulation, Reagan never sought to slash the federal workforce and deprive it of the expertise that kept the government running.

The Presidents Bush, who honored the legacies of both Reagan and Eisenhower, promoted education and private philanthropy. They were, in the words of George W. Bush “uniters” and not “dividers.” Unlike Trump, they were ardent supporters of America’s allies, especially members of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization. Unlike Trump they believed America should engage with the world through diplomacy, trade, and treaties.

As you can see, divisive, isolationist, and anti-democratic Trumpism and conservatism are distinctly different. The vast majority of Trump’s followers would dispute this, because they are ignorant of philosophy and history and of their man’s confession, made recently on CNBC. When asked about the coming four years, were he to be president, he said, quite bluntly, “I’m not a conservative…”

In the 2026 midterms, I’ll be voting blue, not because I like their policies, but because to get Trump out of office and hold them accountable for their crimes.

I also get into some advice that Congress should act and get Trump out of here before midterms. If don’t, they deserve to resign or out of office.
